Note: The following defined terms are found in the tables linked to above:

  • Locality: The county or city where the easement deed was recorded and where easement property is located.
  • Easement: A count of recorded easements given to VOF.  Each easement-in-gross counts only once, even though the history may involve several deeds recorded over a period of time in order to completely define the terms governing the easement.  Also, many easements allow for property divisions, but in this context, each easement is only counted once.
  • Acreage: a count of acres restricted by a VOF easement recorded within the given year or locality.
