Shirley Plantation
Location: Charles City County - Rt 5 - East of Richmond 461 Shirley Plantation Road Charles City, VA. 23030
About: 121 acre historic plantation on the James River between Richmond and Williamsburg. The plantation is still actively farmed and has been in the same continuous family ownership for 11 generations. Listed on the National and State registry of Historic Places.

Brown & Williamson Conservation Area
Location: Chesterfield County - The site is located along the James River in eastern Chesterfield County. Open only by appointment.
About: A 262 acre parcel on the tidal James River that offers signficant wildlife habitat, including bald eagles. There is almost a mile of frontage along the James River, as well as a fishing lake. By appointment with the County only.

Historic Polegreen Church
Location: Hanover County - The site is located 12 miles from downtown Richmond, Virginia on Rural Point Point, off of Polegreen Road.
About: The site of an historic church listed on the National Registry of Historic Places and a Civil War battlefield. There are 40 acres and a small parking area.

Trevilian Station Battlefield
Location: Louisa County - The site is located in western Louisa County on Route 33 and Rt 22.
About: One of the largest and most important calvary battles during the entire Civil War. Much of the land in the core battlefield area has been conserved and there is a radio-based driving tour available to the public as well as informational kiosks.

Crawfords State Forest
Location: New Kent County - RT 60 East of Richmond 11301 Pocahontas Trail Providence Forge, VA. 22903
About: This 258-acre forest has a mixture of bottomland hardwood and loblolly pine stands in New Kent County, near Providence Forge. The forest is a wildlife sanctuary and used for demonstration and education for forestry, ecology, history, forestry research, hiking, and canoeing.

City of Fredericksburg Easement
Location: Stafford, Spotsylvania, Fauquier, Orange and Culpeper Counties - Along the Rappahannock and Rapidan Rivers upstream from the City of Fredericksburg
About: One of the largest conservation easements in Virginia, protecting almost 22 miles of the Rappahannock River and over 11 miles along the Rapidan River. Significant wildlife populations along the river corridors and numerous recreation l opportunties. A master plan is currently being drafted. Co-held with the VDGIF and TNC.
